Accessibility Statement
Glaucoma Center of Pensacola is committed to making our website and services usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.
Our commitment
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Because we treat patients with vision-affecting conditions, accessibility is not optional — it is core to who we serve.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy and landmarks.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- A "skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Sufficient color contrast for text and interface elements.
- Accessible labels on icon-only buttons and form controls.
- Responsive layouts that work at 200% zoom and on mobile devices.
- Compatibility with modern assistive technologies including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Known limitations
Our online forms (referral and appointment requests) are provided by a third-party platform (Cognito Forms). While Cognito Forms supports accessibility, some elements are outside our direct control. If you have difficulty completing a form, please call us at 850-898-1868 and a team member will assist you directly.
